Quick Tip--Eudora and Junk Mail
|
Quick Tips Frequently Communication Services hears about a problem people encounter with communications software programs. We’re addressing some of these in longer articles, and, at other times, a question and answer format is best. Send any questions you might have to Ann Senuta (aesenuta@ucdavis.edu ), and one of our communications professionals will provide an answer in the next CS@work . Q. How do I stop email that I want from going into my Junk mailbox in Eudora? A. Eudora’s Version 6 includes a Junk mailbox whose default setting can be overly zealous in what it identifies as “junk.” If you find some of your legitimate e-mails in that junk mailbox, you must increase Eudora’s threshold setting for Junk mail. To do this, in Eudora go to the Tools menu, then select “Options” (in Windows) or the Special menu, then “Settings” (in Macs), and look about three-fourths of the way down in the categories for Junk Mail. Open this and move the Junk threshold more to the right, closer to a 60 or 70 setting.
